Kaduna State records 115 fire outbreaks, 25 deaths in 2 months
The Kaduna State Fire Service (KSFS) has issued a statement on Tuesday that it recorded 115 fire outbreaks and 25 deaths between October and November this year, Nature News gathered.
This disclosure was made by the director of the service, Mr. Paul Aboi, in Kaduna, stating that its personnel rescued 27 people unhurt in fire incidents while 41 others sustained injuries during the period.
He said the fire service has embarked on a massive sensitisation of the people to curb fire incidents in the state and save lives and property.
The director noted that with the quick response of the service, property worth N2 billion saved were from the 115 fire incidents.

“Our quick response to fire outbreaks is dependent on how fast the office is notified. It is safer to call us than drive all the way to the office,’’ he said.
Aboi advised business operators, especially owners of roadside eateries and barbecue spots to ensure that fires were properly put out at close of business every day to stem the tide of fire outbreaks.
He called on the people to always switch -off electrical appliances to save lives and property and desist from plugging their chargeable lamps when not at home.
