The state Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, stated this at the Arla Farms Open Day in Damau, Kubau Local Government Area of the state, on Thursday.
She reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to attracting foreign direct investment, emphasised the state’s conducive business environment, streamlined processes, and reduced bureaucratic hurdles.

“This project strengthens our dairy sector, empowers local communities, and significantly contributes to our state’s economy,” she said.
Hadiza commended the company for introducing modern farming techniques and technology, alongside capital investment, into Nigeria’s dairy industry.
She also noted that the project offered a promising solution to the farmer-herder conflict by demonstrating how modern cattle rearing could be both profitable and sustainable.
Consequently, she assured the dairy company of the state government’s unwavering support and invited the international community to explore Kaduna State’s vast investment opportunities.
“Arla Farms has enhanced domestic milk production and addressed food security challenges in Nigeria.
“Senator Uba Sani’s administration remains committed to supporting the business community and creating a favourable investment climate.
“We continue to streamline processes, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and provide essential infrastructure for businesses of all sizes.”
Earlier in his remarks, Arla’s Managing Director, Mr. Peder Pedersen, praised the state government’s support while noting that the firm was committed to Nigeria’s dairy industry.
The Managing Director, represented by Elele Ogunsanya, the firm’s Senior Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer, highlighted the firm’s innovative methods to reduce environmental impact while increasing efficiency and productivity.
