Jigawa farmers canvass support for continuity in agric transformation

The All Farmers Association (AFAN) Jigawa State chapter has canvassed support for continuity in the development of agriculture in the state as witnessed under the Badaru administration.
This was disclosed by the state’s AFAN Chairman Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga in an interview with NatureNews.Africa in Dutse, where he added that what Governor Badaru Abubakar did to agricultural sector would continue to impact the state’s economy at both dry and rainfall seasons.
“We are certain that Malam Umar Namadi, the Jigawa state deputy governor and APC flag bearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election would follow the Badaru’s footsteps in the promotion of agriculture and providing more channels that would makes our state more progressive in agriculture and mass food production.” He said.
Mai Unguwa Jaga stressed that agricultural development was one of the great factors that influenced economic progress and provided employment opportunities that enhanced self-reliance, where he predicted that Nigeria would become an exemplary nation in agricultural transformation.
In conclusion, the AFAN leader reminded the Jigawa farmers to adopt the NIMET prediction about the possible early plantings so as to guard against late production that may affect good production.
