Insurgents destroy 330 KVA Power Station in Yobe

The police authorities in Yobe State have said that two power transmission towers with a capacity of 330 KVA were destroyed by suspected Boko Haram militants in the state.
Dungus Abdulkarim, the spokesperson for the police command, shared this information during a conversation with journalists in Damaturu on Saturday.
He stated that the transmission towers are responsible for providing electricity to Gombe, Yobe, and Borno states.
Abdulkarim also mentioned that the individuals who carried out the attack used homemade explosive devices to destroy the facilities on Saturday morning.

Abdulkarim mentioned that the transmission towers are situated in Kasaisa, which is in the Damaturu Local Government Area of the state.
He further stated that this destruction has caused a power outage, leaving the residents of both states without electricity.
In December, the towers were destroyed, and it was not until January that they were finally fixed.
