By Omotayo Edubi

A heavy rainstorm that occurred on Tuesday, has caused havoc to several households at Wassa Dompim in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region in Ghana.

According to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Municipality, over one hundred houses have had their roofs taken off by the rainstorm.

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem NADMO Director, Francis Amoah, told Newsmen, no death or injuries were recorded.

“We do not have a total number now, but we are counting over a hundred households that have got their roofs ripped off. Aside from that, valuable items of the people have been lost as well as some electricity poles affected. The people have become automatically homeless. We are still doing field assessment.”
