Black beans, also called turtle beans is a legume native to Americans and has been introduced around the world. They are healthy additions to diet because of it’s high protein content and perfect for vegans and vegetarians.

Black beans are rich source of soluble fibres and it helps to lower inflammation and eliminates toxins and waste materials from the body by cleaning the arteries from harmful compounds. It protects us from Cardiac arrest, heart diseases and stroke.

Black beans are loaded with phytochemicals like flavonoids which are anti-inflammatory compounds. They help to protect the heart, and control lipid fat metabolism and excretion of cholesterol. 

Antioxidants in black beans helps to prevent DNA damage and gene mutation which lowers the risk of getting cancer.
