Graduate agripreneurship programme opens 2025 applications

By Abdullahi Lukman

The Graduate Agripreneurship Programme (GAP) has opened applications for 2025, offering young Nigerian graduates a chance to develop sustainable agribusinesses.

The programme, which runs until March 3, aims to address youth unemployment and foster innovation in agriculture.

GAP provides selected applicants with grants, mentorship, and capacity-building training, helping them establish viable agribusinesses.

Successful participants can receive up to ₦27 million in grants, along with access to industry experts and necessary resources.

The programme has already supported over 20 agripreneurs, including graduates like Oluwayomi Olajide, who founded a successful business, and Mary Jimba, who grew a broiler production enterprise.

GAP collaborates with institutions like FUNAAB, the University of Ibadan, and the University of Ilorin to offer graduates resources and training for success in the agricultural sector.

By equipping young Nigerians with the tools to succeed in agriculture, GAP aims to contribute to the country’s economic development and food security.
