Gombe State Government has donated food supplies to Batch B Stream II corps members currently undergoing the three-week orientation program at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in Amada, Akko Local Government Area.

This was revealed in a press statement signed by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer, to the Secretary of the Government of the State.

Representing Governor Yahaya Inuwa, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Adamu Inuwa, made the donation on behalf of the state.

“The donation is to augment the feeding of corps members at the camp and help alleviate the impact of rising food costs,” the governor said in the statement.

The governor also conveyed his best wishes to the corps members, assuring them of Gombe’s hospitality and welcoming environment.

Receiving the donation, Chinwe Nwachuku, the NYSC State Coordinator for Gombe, expressed gratitude to the governor for his continued support.

She assured the corps members that she would inform the NYSC Director-General and top management about the governor’s generous gesture toward the NYSC program.
