Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has responded to the one week fuel scarcity in Imo state.
In a statement, the governor resolved and gave a lasting solution as the week long siege on supply of Petroleum Products across the State and the entire South East.
Arising from the interaction and dialogue with the representatives of the Petroleum Tanker Driver’s Association, Uzodimma set up a committee that will look into the issue.
According to the Governor, “my administration would partner with any agency or union that is ready to support our programs and policies for the interest and benefit of Imolites.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Chief Billy Harry, stated that Governor Uzodimma is their brother, friend and dependable partner who has already given a solution to the issue” and that their relationship with him is cordial.
Also in a statement signed by an aide to PETROAN’s national president, Mazi Ejike, Harry said, “Peace is priceless while terror is senseless” hence giving peace a chance to prevail will engender development and curb it’s multiplier effects on both unsuspecting citizenry and PETRAON members who earns their living by buying and selling.
He further reiterated that PETROAN members within the affected zones should revert to government price regime to avert clap down by DPR.
