Global leaders prepare for IFAT as exhibition shows strong support for environmental, climate protection

The sustainable use of resources, and therefore climate protection will be the major focus this year’s IFAT in Munich, Germany.
The world’s largest trade exhibition for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management will take place between May 30 and June 3, 2022 at the city’s exhibition centre.
According to Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München, “Preparations for IFAT Munich are running at full speed, with all 18 exhibition halls and a large part of the outdoor area occupied. This is a very strong development, even compared to the record-breaking edition in 2018.
So far, some 2,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries have registered, and we continuously receive numerous further requests”.
Environmental, resource and climate protection is more urgent than ever in the minds of the global community, “and IFAT brings together the international decision-makers, experts and market players in one place to tackle the major challenges,” Rummel continues.
Major international events such as IAA MOBILITY, EXPO REAL, productronica and TrendSet took place in Munich in January, so Messe München has already proved that successful trade fairs are possible under pandemic conditions. “In addition, experience shows that restrictions are relaxed in line with the pandemic situation in spring,” stated Rummel to clarify the situation.
All exhibition sections are well booked; in some cases the demand is even greater than the space available. Many leading instrumentation manufacturers, such as NIVUS, TriOS, Shimadzu, MACHEREY NAGEL, Tintometer and Hamamatsu Photonics will be exhibiting their latest innovations,
In addition, there will be international joint pavilions from Belgium, China, Denmark, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria, South Korea, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, and the U.S. Exhibitors from other nations including Egypt, Australia, Brazil, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine have also reserved stands.
