Gana visits mokwa, Ndayako flood victims, assures continued support

By Abdullahi Lukman

The member representing Lavun, Mokwa, and Edati Federal Constituency, Mr. Joshua Audu Gana, has visited flood-affected communities in Mokwa, Ndayako, and an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp to sympathize with victims and assess the extent of the devastation.

The visit follows a ₦5 million donation earlier delivered on his behalf during his absence on national duty, with a promise to personally visit upon his return.

During the visit, Gana met with the Ndalile of Mokwa, Alhaji Mohammed Aliyu Shaba, and the Village Head of Ndayako before proceeding to the IDP camp.

He described the flood as a tragic and unimaginable event, lamenting the loss of lives and widespread destruction of homes and farmlands.

Gana called for resilience and unity among the affected communities, pledging continued legislative support toward relief and rebuilding efforts.

“As your representative in the Green Chamber, I stand with you in this time of grief and recovery,” he said.

“Whatever is needed to rebuild and restore the lives of survivors will be pursued vigorously.”

Community leaders in Mokwa and Ndayako thanked the lawmaker for both the financial assistance and his personal presence, hailing his actions as a display of true leadership and compassion.

They offered prayers for his success and reaffirmed their trust in his commitment to the welfare of the constituency.
