Four building owners issued certificate of fitness by LASBCA

The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) has issued Certificates of Completion and Fitness for Habitation to four building owners/developers at Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Lekki axis of the State as one of the core responsibilities of the Agency.

The four buildings whose owners/developers received the Certificate of Completion and Fitness for Habitation comprise three residential buildings at 175A, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos; a two-floor structure at A2, Plot 9, Ogunnaike Street, Lekki Peninsula Scheme 1, Eti-Osa; 2, Oloto Road, Ikoyi, Lagos and one commercial building at Plot 258, Kofo Abayomi Street Victoria Island, Lagos.

LASBCA is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring building owners/developers adhered to the State Building Codes and are  afterwards issued the Certificate of Completion and Fitness for Habitation after thorough inspections of the building construction from foundation to completion level by seasoned professionals from the Agency, comprising of Architects, Geologists, Engineers and Builders, amongst others.

Recall that the Lagos State Government, through LASBCA, had launched the re-branded Certificate for Completion and Fitness for Habitation on the 6th October 2021 to further curb the menace of building collapse in the State.
