Flood victims in Borno community receive material from NEMA

The flood victims of Gora, a community in Borno state has received relief materials from The Northeast Zonal office of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) .

Wile distributing the materials, NEMA Zonal Coordinator in North East, Usman Muhammad Aji, who facilitated the items said the relief items were distributed to alleviate the sufferings and loss of properties incurred by the victims during the flood disaster in the area.

The items, include mattresses, bags of rice, bags of beans, vegetable oil, cartons of Maggi, cartons of tin tomato, bags of salt, assorted clothes, and blankets, among others.

The NEMA team was accompanied by the Vice Chairman of Shani LGA, Iliya Bargu, and was received by the representative of Emir of Shani, Alhaji Mohammed Isa Lawan, and the district head.

It would be recalled that water last year flooded Gora community which led to the loss of lives and property. No fewer than 175 victims were identified.
