Flood: Gov. Yahaya set up committee on evacuation of drainage in Gombe

Gombe state governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has disclosed that his government set up a committee for evacuation of drainages across the state and anybody found wanting will be dealt with.
Yahaya who disclosed this on Saturday when the Emir, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu-Abubakar III, visited to pay sallah homage.
The governor assured the Emir and the people of his administration readiness to continue with developmental projects in the state.
Meanwhile, Yahaya served warning to residents against dumping of refuse in drainages to avert flood as the rain approaches.
He urged residents to take precautionary measure against possible flooding, hence, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency had predicted how the rainfall season across the country would look like.
According NAN, the governor said that, people must learn to desist from dumping of refuse in drainages because it is wrong and can caused blockage of waterways which resulted to flood.
Yahaya urged the people of Gombe to support the administration as it continues to improve the standard of living of the people in the state.
