In anticipation of the upcoming festive season, the Federal Road Maintenance Agency
(FERMA) has initiated extensive rehabilitation efforts on Trunk A roads, aiming to
facilitate the smooth transportation of passengers and goods across Nigeria.
The official commencement of this road improvement initiative, dubbed "Flag-Off
Operations: Connect to Your Destination," took place in the Karu Local Government
Area of Nasarawa state. Chukwuemeka Agbasi, the Managing Director of FERMA,
emphasized the agency's unwavering commitment to ensuring well-maintained roads
for users during the holiday season, enhancing the overall travel experience across the
nation.
Mr. Agbasi issued a call to road users, urging them to observe traffic rules and exercise
caution as the year draws to a close. This appeal for responsible driving aligns with
FERMA's broader vision of promoting safety on the roads.
Goshen Gidado, the Outpost Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, took a
moment to commend FERMA for its consistent and effective service to humanity in the
regions. The collaborative efforts between FERMA and the Federal Road Safety Corps
underscore the importance of fostering road safety and infrastructure maintenance for
the benefit of all road users.
