Claim: Saltwater supplies energy to the waterlamp for 45 hours
On March 16, 2024, @blackhatmotivation posted on Instagram about a lantern that can generate electricity from seawater instantly and lasts for 45 days. The lantern, dubbed the “water light,” was created by a startup engineer in Colombia and advertised that all it takes to power it is 500ml of salt water.After these, it can be recycled and reconditioned, and it can operate for 5600 hours.
The water light energy is made possible by ionizing an electrolyte made up of salt water which reacts with magnesium mineral together with the copper plate in the interior of the lamp to create electricity
