Europe launches INVEST4CLIMATE to boost climate finance

A new European collaboration, INVEST4CLIMATE, has been launched to strengthen financing for climate adaptation and mitigation.
The cluster brings together three Horizon Europe projects — BLOSSOM, CLIMINVEST and RISE-IN — to bridge gaps between climate action, public policy, and investment.
Funded by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and Horizon Europe, it aims to accelerate deployment of bankable climate solutions across European cities.
Demonstrations will take place in cities including Birmingham (UK), Lisbon (Portugal), Thessaly (Spain), Cesena (Italy) and Christchurch (New Zealand).
BLOSSOM connects public authorities with private investors, CLIMINVEST supports bankable-by-design climate projects, and RISE-IN links environmental resilience with financial viability, focusing on nature-based flood solutions.
The cluster will promote knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement, and practical pathways for financing climate initiatives, helping cities move from planning to implementation.
Officials said the initiative strengthens Europe’s capacity to deliver resilient, investment-ready climate solutions supported by robust financial strategies.
