The Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammadu Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, has been installed as the Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State.
The Emir was inaugurated into his new role as the University’s second Chancellor during the colourful convocation ceremony held on Saturday in Sumaila
According to the university’s founder, Senator Abdulrahman Suleiman Kawu Sumaila, the decision to appoint the Emir of Dutse was based on his exceptional leadership qualities, dedication to public service, and ability to advance the university’s mission of academic excellence and moral integrity.
He emphasised that the Emir’s leadership would greatly benefit the institution by fostering both academic and infrastructural growth.
In his acceptance speech, Emir Muhammadu Hamim Nuhu Sanusi expressed gratitude for the honour and pledged his commitment to supporting the university’s vision.
He assured the university community of his dedication to working towards enhancing its academic standing while contributing to its overall development.
He also reiterated his intention to use his experience and influence to promote educational progress and innovation in Nigeria.
The appointment of the Emir of Dutse has been greeted with excitement and congratulatory messages from dignitaries, recognising his leadership and contributions to society.
