BUA Group has reinforced its global ambitions with a strong presence at the 62nd Paris International Agricultural Show in France, positioning its food manufacturing operations at the center of conversations shaping the future of global agriculture.
The company is participating as a premium sponsor while also supporting the Nigeria Pavilion at the prestigious international gathering, which is widely regarded as one of the world’s most respected agricultural exhibitions.
The event, taking place at Porte de Versailles in Paris from February 21 to March 1, 2026, brings together global leaders in farming, agro-processing, technology, finance, and agricultural policy, creating a strategic platform for partnerships and knowledge exchange across the food value chain.
BUA Group said its participation reflects a deliberate long-term strategy to strengthen food systems by investing heavily in domestic production capacity and expanding its footprint beyond Nigeria’s borders.
Representing the Executive Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Managing Director of BUA Foods, Abioye Ayodele, is leading engagements with stakeholders at the Nigeria Pavilion, where the company is showcasing its manufacturing scale and branded consumer products.
BUA Foods, a subsidiary of BUA Group, maintains a significant presence in staple food categories including flour, pasta, spaghetti, sugar, and rice, serving millions of consumers within Nigeria and across neighbouring African countries.
Speaking at the show, Rabiu stated that Africa must play an active role in shaping global food systems, emphasizing that food security, industrial growth, and economic resilience are deeply interconnected.
He noted that platforms such as the Paris International Agricultural Show provide opportunities to build partnerships that enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness and extend the reach of its manufacturing sector into international markets.
Ayodele highlighted that BUA Foods has built substantial scale across essential household consumption categories, stressing that the company’s operational strength and commitment to quality enable it to meet international standards while efficiently serving domestic and regional markets.
He added that the exhibition offers an avenue to demonstrate the consistency and reliability behind Nigerian manufacturing at a global level.
The ongoing exhibition is also providing BUA Foods with opportunities to deepen trade relationships, strengthen institutional collaborations, and reinforce Nigeria’s presence within the global agricultural ecosystem.
Industry observers note that participation in high-level global events such as this signals the company’s intention to remain competitive in evolving food markets while aligning with broader conversations on sustainability, supply chain resilience, and agricultural innovation.
Headquartered in Lagos and founded in 1988, BUA Group has grown into one of Africa’s leading conglomerates with diversified investments spanning foods, cement manufacturing, mining, construction, real estate, plaster production, quarrying, and infrastructure development.
The company says it remains focused on building resilient institutions, scaling domestic production, and advancing Africa’s role in global food production and trade through sustained investment and strategic international engagement.
