Bauchi Government Compensates Property Owners Affected By Construction

By Grace Samuel

The Bauchi State Government has commenced the payment of compensation to people whose properties have been affected by the construction of roads and flyover bridges in the state.

This is coming as the state government also assured residents affected by the planned infrastructure projects and development in state of adequate compensation.

Chairman of the Committee overseeing compensation payments for properties affected by road construction, Alhaji Nuru Chiroman, announced this recently.

He informed that the committee has already started compensating affected individuals, with payments already made to those impacted by the planned construction of the Winti Market Flyover Bridge.

He advised those whose properties have been evaluated for compensation to present important documents, including passport photograph, voter’s card, National Identity Card, Driver’s License, or International Passport, for proper identification and payment.
