Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP) in Kogi state have announced their commitment in installing one hundred boreholes in each of the state’s twenty-one local government areas to commemorate Governor Usman Ododo’s first one hundred days in office.
This was disclosed on Friday when the association paid the Commissioner of Water Resources of the State, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk a visit in Lokoja.
Professor Ikoola Okunlola, a member of the association, underscored the health risks associated with the lack of clean water, attributing eighty per cent of communicable diseases to this issue.
In the same vein, the Commissioner also revealed plans to activate a water law to enhance accessibility in the region.
