NAFDAC seals premises of miracle water producer in Delta
The Director General National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye has alerted Nigerians to be aware and beware of a faith based organisation led by Jeremiah Fufeyin who uses the agency to make money through his miracle water and soap.
NAFDAC, in a statement on Sunday, noted that none of the products advertised and sold by Pastor Fufeyin are not registered with the agency adding that the pastor has been using NAFDAC’s name to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.
The statement signed by the director-general read in part thus: ” Recently, NAFDAC has been inaundated with petitions from concerned citizens about Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, km 5 Effurun, Sapele road, Delta State on a Miracle Water and Miracle Soap being advertised with healing and miracle claims and sold to unsuspecting members of the public by the spiritual ministry.”
Meanwhile, NAFDAC has sealed the premises of the Global Table Water factory where the miracle water is being produced to ensure its production, sale and advertisment of the unregistered and unwholesome miracle water is halted.
Firm donates solar powered borehole to community to prevent waterborne diseases
A leading firm in the electronic sector has donated a solar powered borehole to the Agba Akin community in Ibadan North East Local Government Area, Oyo State, to enhance quality of life in the community.
The firm’s Head of Corporate Marketing , Nigeria, Hari Elluru, during the unveiling of the solar powered borehole, said the company was dedicated to making positive impact on the community it serves.
He said, ”This project reflects our commitment to sustaiable solutions that improves lives and foster development. This project reflects our commitment to sustainable solutions that improves lives and foster development.”
Elluru added tht access to clean water was a basic human right adding that the company is proud to support the Ibadan community with the solar powered borehole.

Bush, dirts takes over lake resort domicile in Osun Secretariat
The lake resort within the Osun State Secretariat, Osogbo, have been taken over by bush and dirts owing to neglect.
Commissioned in 2017 by then goveror Rauf Aregbesola, the lake’s environment have been taking over by bush and the environment is smelling.
A civil servant who pleaded annonymity before speaking on the current environmental situation of the resort, noted that the place have been abandoned.
According to him, ”those who were saddled with the responsibility of maintaining the facility have turned blind eye to its present situation. The current enviromental condtion of the resort is not only embarrsing but shameful because it was within the state secretariat.
”Those who are in charge of the facility don’t look like they care about its upkeep, which is very bad because they are not doing it for free, they receive salary at every month end. The place now look like a shadow of its former self and need urgent attention.
”I just hope Governor Ademola Adeleke’s attention would be drawn to this, and necessary action will be taken to return the facility to how it was abandoned, ” the civil servant said.
It was gathered that the resort was built in honour of a high ranking civil servant in the state who died on her return from official assignment in July 2017.
NAFDAC, Enugu govt, destroy N2.5 bn unwholesome products
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), in conjuction with the Enugu State Waste Management Authority has destroyed unwholesome products valued at over N2.5 billion. The products destroyed included rice and assorted drinks.
During the destruction exercise which took place at the Enugu State Waste Management Authority dumpsite, NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, urged dealers to cease from selling counterfeit products.
She lamented over the level of desperation of some people to make money through producing and importaing fake products into the country. She advised such people to use their money in partaking in legitimate businesses rather than producing and procuring fake products for sale in the country.
The NAFDAC boss noted that the destroyed products would have compromise d the health of over three million people. They would have increase the health burden on our already overstretched health institutions.
She said the agency would not rest until every household could buy any regulated products without fear of substandard, adulteration, or fake. She commended other sister agencies for their synergy and inetr-agency cooperation, which she described that without they would not have succeeded in the endeavour.
