Another explosion in 24 hours

A day after an incident of gas explosion in Agbor, Ika South LGA, Delta State killed four and injured 11 persons on Friday, another explosion occurred at a gas plant in Rumuodomaya, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State killing one person and injuring many.
The Nation reports that that three trucks inside the facility were burnt beyond recognition.
The incident which occurred about 8:45pm on Saturday threw residents into panic.
An eyewitness said some workers were discharging gas at the station when the incident occurred.
Zonal Controller of the Department of Petroleum Resources, Port Harcourt Zonal office, Bassey Nkanga confirmed the incident.
Many gas plants located in a residential areas have been causing fire.
