The Youth Earnestly Seek Solution (YESS) initiative, led by Dr. Nelson Omenugha, the Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programme, has commenced the distribution of coconut and oil palm seedlings to its members.
The distribution took place in Awka recently, where Dr. Omenugha emphasized the commitment of YESS to aligning with Governor Soludo’s progressive agenda.
Highlighting the significance of agriculture, Dr. Omenugha urged young people to change their perception of agriculture as a business meant only for the elderly.
He stressed that the coconut and oil palm
economy, championed by Governor Soludo, has the potential to transform Anambra’s economic landscape. Over the past year, the initiative has already distributed more than one million seedlings, signaling a promising shift in the state’s agricultural sector.
Dr. Omenugha urged the recipients of the seedlings to make optimal use of them by planting them immediately upon receipt.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his youth-friendly policies, which consistently prioritize the interests of young people.
He also advised the youth to avoid actions that could harm their future and encouraged
them to actively contribute to the development of Anambra State.
