WAPAN, WAMBAWA Foundation Join Forces to Uplift 200 Local Women

In a significant partnership aimed at uplifting the lives of 200 local women, Waste Pickers Association of Nigeria (WAPAN), has joined hands with the WAMBAWA Foundation in the Gumel constituency of Jigawa State.

This collaboration was formally announced during a special event on Saturday, where representatives from both organizations highlighted their shared dedication to the cause.

The National President of WAPAN conveyed heartfelt admiration for the WAMBAWA Foundation’s remarkable efforts, emphasizing the importance of unity in driving positive change.

As part of this partnership, WAPAN has committed to facilitating the registration of some of these women as waste pickers, a move that integrates them into the association and provides access to essential capacity development training in sustainable waste management.

Additionally, in collaboration with Anthophila Empire Limited, these women will be enrolled in the Household Plastic project, ensuring a sustainable source of income and a significant improvement in their overall quality of life.
