The Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) Mohammed Bello-Koko, has said it will partner with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), towards improving exports and balance of trade in the country.
Bello-Koko, stated this when he received the top team LCCI at the NPA Headquarters in Marina, Lagos State on Tuesday.
According to a post on the verified X handle of the agency, the meeting focused deepening synergy in terminal and export operations at the ports.
“The meeting focused on deepening synergies geared towards continually improving the operational dynamics of Terminal Operators and the Export Processing Terminals with special emphasis on growing the number of export boxes in a concerted bid to improve the nation’s balance of trade,” the post indicated.
Speaking during the meeting, Chairman of LCCI, Hon. Nohoesu Yenukunme Abiodun commended the NPA management for its efforts and initiatives in tackling the perennial gridlock at the Apapa and Tincan ports.
