The Executive Commercial and Strategy Director, TotalEnergies, Mr. George Oguachuba, said the company is aiming for a 50% gas energy mix by 2030. Oguachuba made this known during a roundtable at the 4th Nigeria’s International Oil Summit in Abuja Thursday.
“As a company and as a company, the strategy is to become more and more a company and our goal is that by 2030 we will have around 50% of the gas energy mix in TotalEnergies.
“And this coincides with the announcement by the Nigerian government of the Gas Decade, claiming that gas will play an important role in the country’s economy,” he said.
According to NAN, the company Boss added that they are also setting up pipelines for the delivery of gas to the national action.
“We have another option which is a $ 300 million pipeline dedicated to supplying domestic gas obligations with the government and we have signed three contracts on that.
He noted that the company was faced with the challenge of an appropriate price, how to ensure that the gas reaches end users, among others.
