Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has said President Bola Tinubu is putting in place structural plans to distribute cheap fuel through compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LPG).
The Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari made this disclosure on Wednesday, during an interactive session with State House correspondents after a meeting with the president.
Kyari further revealed that the president plans to use this to reduce the pressure on citizens because of the removal of subsidies.
He said the president plans to roll out the structural plan very soon, as he promised that it is part of the president’s palliative measures to ameliorate the suffering the removal of subsidy has brought upon Nigerians.
He added that the nation’s refineries were undergoing intense rehabilitation and would soon be completed.
Recall that subsidies were removed at the very onset of Tinubu’s administration to be spent on education, agriculture and creation of more jobs for the unemployed in Nigeria.
It is also reported that Nigeria’s neighboring areas are also benefiting from the regime of Subsidiaries.
