The Taraba State Emergency Management Agency has reaffirmed its commitment to transparent and efficient distribution of relief materials to internally displaced persons and flood-affected residents across the state.
The agency disclosed that the items were supplied by the Taraba State Government with support from donor organisations, adding that more than 50,000 victims have so far benefited from the intervention.
Executive Secretary Dr. Echuseh Audu Katuka said the agency remains highly responsive to humanitarian needs, stressing that its operations are driven by accountability and effective service delivery.
She also dismissed media reports questioning the handling of relief materials, urging residents to disregard such claims and assuring that the agency will continue to improve its response efforts.
The agency reiterated its resolve to support vulnerable populations and strengthen emergency response systems to better address future disasters in the state.
