A one-story building in Tanzania collapsed on Monday evening, killing four while 17 others were badly injured.
The building was said to be located on the outskirts of Tanzania’s commercial capital Dar es Salaam, an official said on Tuesday.
Xhinua news agency, reports that Kheri James, the Ubungo district commissioner, said two women were killed when the building, under construction, collapsed on two adjacent houses.
“Two men who were part of a team constructing the building were also killed after the collapse of the building at Goba area,”
James added that the injured people included neighbors and contractors of the building designed for businesses.
“Investigators from various security agencies were working to establish the cause that led to the collapse of the building,” said the official, adding that after the investigations the place will be cleared from the debris.
