Sam Amuka, veteran editors grace Azu Ishiekwene’s book launch

Publisher of Vanguard newspaper, Mr. Sam Amuka, lead the army of publishers, veteran editors, and ace journalists who graced the public presentation of “writing for media and monetising it” written by Azubuike Ishiekwene, Senior Vice Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Leadership Media Group.

Aside from the Chairman of the occasion and Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, who is also a renowned publisher, the event was attended by the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of NatureNews, Alhaji Aliu Akoshile who was group managing director/editor-in-chief of the Daily Times.

The book launch hosted by the chairman of Leadership Group, Mrs. Zainab Nda-Isaiah was attended by four former Presidential spokesmen, Mallam Garba Shehu, Mr. Femi Adesina, Mr. Segun Adeniyi and Dr. Reuben Abati, who reviewed the book.

Among the guests were former editor of The Punch in the early 1980s, Alhaji Najeem Jimoh, special adviser to President Tinubu on public affairs, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, CEO of Hapicom and CBD MediaEdge, Akogun Isiaq Ajibola, and Chairman-designate of federal competition and consumer protection commission, Mr. Tunji Bello.

Also present were publisher of Daily Times, Mr. Fidelis Anosike, former Presidents of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mr. Gbenga Adefaye and Malam Garbadeen Mohammed, group managing director of Media Trust Limited, Malam Ahmed Shekarau, and chairman of editorial board of Blueprint, Hajiya Zainab Okino.

The event also attracted the group managing director of Daar Communication plc, Anegbe Tony Akiotu, Special Assistant to the President on media, Mr. Tunde Rahmon, managing director of The Sun, Mr. James Akpadem, former editor of Daily Times, Alhaji Hakeem Bello, Edo State former commissioner of Information, Mr. Louis Odion, and founder of BenTV UK, Mr. Alistair Soyede.

Others include the managing director of Blueprint newspaper, Malam Salisu Umar, the director general of the Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Baba Ndace, and public affairs guru, Mr. Tajudeen AbdulKarim, and ace broadcast journalist Ms Kadaria Ahmed.
