Osun State government is set to host the Imole Circular Economy and Waste to Wealth Training towards advancing sustainable practices and creating economic opportunities for the citizens.
The two-day intensive programme focusing on innovative waste management is being organised by the Office of the Consultant to the State Governor on Climate and Renewable Energy.
Scheduled for August 13 and 14, 2025, the event will take place at the SDC Hall, Osun State Assets Management Building (OSAMA), along Christian Pilgrim Road in Abeere, Osogbo.
Organisers are inviting the public, especially individuals passionate about sustainability, to participate in the transformative learning experience featuring a mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on exposure.
On the first day, participants will receive in-depth classroom instruction covering essential topics such as waste-to-wealth business opportunities, cooperative networking, innovative recycling techniques, and circular economy principles.
These sessions will be complemented by expert guest lectures, group discussions, and networking opportunities designed to build stronger climate action networks and foster collaborative projects.
On the second day, attendees will embark on a guided site tour at the Recycling Hub, providing a practical view of how circular economy principles are applied in real-world scenarios.
This field experience aims to bridge the gap between classroom theory and actual implementation, offering participants a clearer understanding of the processes, technologies, and business models that can turn waste into valuable resources.
Organisers expect the programme to deliver tangible outcomes, including mastery of circular economy concepts, vital skills to launch waste-to-wealth projects, and empowerment for participants to drive environmental and economic change in their communities.
The initiative aligns with Osun State’s broader goals of reducing waste, promoting environmental conservation, and encouraging green entrepreneurship.
The training is open to a wide range of stakeholders, including youth leaders, waste management professionals, sustainability practitioners, policymakers, and community developers.
With limited slots available, the host said early registration is encouraged to secure participation, adding that interested individuals can register online through the official Google Form link: [https://forms.gle/7NYyc19srWePDcSF6](https://forms.gle/7NYyc19srWePDcSF6).

The Office of the Consultant on Climate and Renewable Energy, Osun State, expressed optimism that the training will inspire participants to become agents of change, transforming waste challenges into profitable, eco-friendly solutions while contributing to the state’s sustainable development agenda.
