Osun Govt Cautions Against Bush Burning During Dry Season

The government of Osun State has issued a stern warning to its citizens, urging them to exercise caution and refrain from bush burning during the dry season to mitigate the risk of fire outbreaks. In a recent interview with journalists, Mr. Babatunde Balogun, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Environment and Sanitation, underscored the imperative of taking adequate measures during the harmattan season to prevent undesirable occurrences. Balogun stressed the need for heightened vigilance to avoid the devastating consequences associated with fire incidents.
Additionally, Balogun appealed to the residents of Osun State to prioritize maintaining a clean environment. This proactive approach not only serves to prevent the spread of diseases but is also particularly crucial before, during, and after the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.
