In a bold move to foster environmental growth and combat deforestation, the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) has unveiled an ambitious plan to plant 50,000 trees by the year 2027.
This eco-conscious initiative has received invaluable support from the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) and is set to kick off with the planting of an initial 5,000 trees in Kano.
In a statement released on Friday, November 3, the NCF outlined its primary mission: to plant 50,000 trees by 2027 through innovative conservation strategies and habitat restoration, all in the name of environmental preservation.
The campaign’s overarching objectives include halting deforestation, promoting afforestation, and fostering a more eco-friendly environment through community-driven efforts.
Ultimately, this endeavor is poised to contribute significantly to forest restoration and enhance biodiversity, not only within the local ecosystems but also on a global scale.
