NatureNews, Africa’s foremost newspaper on climate change and sustainability, has unveiled its maiden list of Africa’s top 50 sustainability experts for 2023.
In a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, Chief Operating Officer of NatureNews, Pius Alabi, said the list was a product of the newspaper’s rigorous process of shortlisting, screening and selection of the very best.
He said NatureNews was keen to showcase experts who have made tremendous impacts in environmental sustainability in the year 2023 to project them as role models for other professionals.
“This is our maiden selection of most outstanding sustainability professionals who have demonstrated leadership and commitment to fostering environmental health in their respective sector”, he emphasised.
Mr. Alabi explained that the sustainability experts represent a diverse range of industries including energy, food, beverages, telecommunication, banking, agro-allied, and manufacturing as well as the public sector.
He said the experts who made the listing were directly responsible for most of the creative solutions targeted at mitigating climate change-induced environmental impacts across Africa, adding that they have contributed significantly to advancing sustainable practices and environmental stewardship in the continent.
Mr. Alabi reiterated that NatureNews will continue to acknowledge and recognise the crucial role being played by sustainability professionals in driving positive change and inspiring others to embrace sustainable practices.
Founded over three years ago, and symbolically embedded in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, NatureNews has earned a global acclaim as Africa’s No 1 environmental newspaper and one of the top 20 nature publications in the world https://magazines.feedspot.com/nature_magazines/
NatureNews, as an authoritative independent newspaper, also enjoys the goodwill of a pan-African Advisory Board consisting of highly distinguished scholars, climate change experts and environmental sustainability advocates https://www.naturenews.africa/advisory-board/
