Mahabahu NGO initiative invites global youth entry for 2024 climate essay competition

Peoples Secretariat for Climate Justice, an initiative of Mahabahu news publication, has issued a call to youths worldwide to participate in the 2024 International Mahabahu Writing Competition.

The competition, which is aimed at raising awareness on climate action and forest conservation, encourages submissions from young people aged 18-30 years.

According to a statement by the organization, which was made available to NatureNews, www.naturenews.africa, the theme for this year’s competition is: “Protecting Our Earth: Advancing Sustainable Development Through Climate Action and Forest Conservation.”

The winner of the competition will receive 30,000 Indian Rupees and an opportunity to have their book published. The second and third-place winners will receive 20,000 and 10,000 Indian Rupees, respectively.

Mahabahu also announced that the results will be declared and winners unveiled during the UNFCCC COP29 summit, which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22.
