Global and regional energy leaders are set to gather in Lagos for the 6th West Africa LPG Expo 2025, a major event designed to spearhead the region’s clean energy transition.
Scheduled to take place from March 3-4, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Center on Victoria Island, Lagos, the Expo aims to reinforce the critical role of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a cleaner energy alternative for the West African region.
The 6th edition of the Expo is expected to be the largest and most impactful yet, with over 100 international and local exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in LPG technology and infrastructure.
Building on the success of the previous two editions, which attracted more than 3,000 industry professionals and over 80 leading experts and speakers, the 2025 event will provide an even broader platform for industry stakeholders to engage and collaborate on advancing LPG solutions.
This year’s Expo will feature the region’s largest international LPG exhibition, providing opportunities for companies to display cutting-edge products and services in LPG production, storage, transportation, and distribution.
In addition, the event will host a series of influential conference sessions with over 50 expert speakers from across the globe.
These sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including the role of LPG in achieving cleaner energy goals, the future of the LPG market in Africa, and strategies for promoting sustainable energy solutions in the region.
The conference will attract a diverse audience, including government representatives, global investors, energy consultants, and leading LPG industry players, making it a prime networking opportunity for all stakeholders in the clean energy sector.
The event is supported by key industry organizations, including the Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gas Association (NLCGA), the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), and the World Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (WLPGA) based in Paris.
These partnerships emphasize the Expo’s significance as a leading platform for dialogue and collaboration in the energy transition.
The exhibition is open to all energy professionals, stakeholders, and clean energy advocates, regardless of their industry background.
Nigeria’s position as Africa’s second-largest LPG producer and a key player in the clean energy transition will be a central theme throughout the event.
The country’s commitment to integrating LPG into its energy mix is underscored by its ambitious Nigerian Energy Transition Plan, which aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060.
As part of this plan, Nigeria has made substantial investments in LPG infrastructure, which have contributed to increasing local production capacity, reducing imports, and expanding access to LPG across the country.
This shift aligns with the country’s broader goals of sustainable development and climate action.
In addition to Nigeria’s leadership role, neighboring countries such as Ghana, Senegal, and Ivory Coast are also prioritizing LPG as part of their efforts to meet Africa’s clean cooking goals by 2030.
These nations are increasingly focusing on reducing their reliance on biomass fuels, which have harmful environmental and health impacts, by promoting LPG as a safer, cleaner, and more efficient cooking fuel.
The Expo will serve as a key platform to discuss the potential of LPG to address energy poverty and contribute to cleaner cooking solutions across the continent.
Parallel to the LPG Expo, the 2nd CNG Africa, Nigeria 2025, will run alongside the event and focus on the country’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (Pi-CNG).
This initiative aims to increase the number of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) in Nigeria to one million by 2026, supporting the country’s shift toward more sustainable energy sources for transportation.
The Pi-CNG program highlights the economic, environmental, and energy independence benefits of compressed natural gas (CNG) adoption, which can play a significant role in reducing carbon emissions and improving air quality.
The 6th West Africa LPG Expo 2025 comes at a critical time as the region continues to prioritize sustainable energy solutions in line with global efforts to mitigate climate change.
The Expo is not only a key gathering for energy professionals but also a catalyst for future innovations and partnerships that will drive the clean energy agenda forward.
As a global leader in hosting premier events for the LPG industry, the Expo continues to foster innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, contributing to the worldwide transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
By connecting thousands of industry professionals from across the globe, the 6th West Africa LPG Expo 2025 will continue to play a pivotal role in advancing the region’s energy future and driving progress toward a cleaner, greener world.
