The Ministry of Environment in Kogi State is poised to embark on a transformative journey aimed at fostering ecological prosperity, with the ultimate goal of establishing the state as a pristine and sustainable haven for its citizens.
Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun Stephen, recently appointed Commissioner for Environmental and Ecological Management, reiterated the ministry’s unwavering dedication to fostering a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment conducive to the well-being of residents and the promotion of tourism and economic growth.
During a recent press briefing held at his office, he underscored the pivotal role of a healthy environment in elevating the quality of life for all Kogi State residents.
He emphasized the ministry’s strict adherence to a ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards uncleanliness, as mandated by His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the Governor of Kogi State.
Oluwasegun articulated his vision of utilizing cleanliness initiatives to mitigate the spread of germs and diseases, thereby safeguarding public health.
He expressed his unwavering commitment to leading efforts aimed at creating a cleaner and safer environment for both current and future generations.
