Katsina Government College’s Environmental and Sanitation Club visits Katsina ACReSAL

Members of Environmental and sanitation club of Government College Katsina have paid a familiarisation visit to Katsina SPMU.

The excursion marked a significant stride towards enhancing the club’s understanding of sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.

The club members led by Muhammad Lavwal witnessed the impressive strides Katsina State ACReSAL taken in adapting to the challenges posed by semi-arid climates.

Malam muhammad Lawal said Katsina ACReSAL showcased a comprehensive approach to agro-climatic resilience, incorporating advanced techniques and technologies to mitigate the impact of harsh environmental conditions on agriculture.

He said the visit was not merely observational but interactive, as the club engaged with the SPMU through these exchanges, the students gained insights into the intricacies of climate-smart farming, drought-resistant crops, and innovative water management practices.

The gathering facilitated meaningful discussions, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in sustainable development.

The Katsima State ACReSAL Project Alhaji Halliru Mohammed expresses gratitude for the Environmental and Sanitation Club’s visit to Katsina State Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL).
