Goat milk is the milk gotten from domestic goats. Some goats are specifically reared for milk production. They produce about 2% of the world’s total milk supply annually. They stay longer in suspension than cow’s milk due to their small, well emulsified fat globules. It doesn’t undergo artificial homogenization.
Goat milk can be used to produce cheese, butter, ice cream, yogurt, cajeta and other amazing products. It is the most used diary in the world with a consumption level of about 65-67% of the global diary consumers. It is a good source of calories, proteins, and fats and mostly preferred over cow milk.
Goat milk is unique and different from other forms of milk due to its thickness and creaminess with numerous health benefits too. It is easier to digest, has less risk of causing milk allergies, and promotes better heart health. Goat milk is very beneficial to the skin as it has the same pH with the human skin.
It is helpful for those with skin issues like psoriasis or eczema. It contains lactic acid and fatty acids, which repair the skin barrier. It has low alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) concentration in which helps hydrate, exfoliate and treat damaged skin. It has probiotics which encourages the growth of normal skin flora.
Goat milk promotes a healthy weight gain which lowers the risk of disease like stroke, heart diseases, diabetes and high blood pressures and lowers the possibilities of contracting cancer.
Goat milk is essential in treating dengue fever by increasing blood platelets due to its main component, Selenium. It helps to facilitate metabolic activities in the body.
