By Abdulrahman Abdullahi

Residents of Ikwa Street in Zuba, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory were in agony yesterday night as a house belonging to a widow and mother of four children was destroyed by fire.
Ene Egwa, the owner of the burnt house could not explain the cause of the incident to NatureNews reporter who was on the scene.
Egwa said she returned from her farm and saw her house burning.
The woman lamented, “My husband died recently.
“We are still mourning his exit and now my house and all the properties in the house burnt.
“All the harvest from my farm, the egusi and pepper that I sell to cater for my children are burnt.”
She however, thanked God that no life was lost in the incident.
According to her, nobody was at home when the house caught fire.
She said the Fire Service who would have saved the day arrived after the harm had been done.
The widow called on the government and humanitarian organisations to kindly assist her and her children as they are now without shelter.
