Claim: Holistic remedy will heal fatty liver naturally
An Instagram video was posted by the holistic remedy page @hollisticcallycarol, which is run by a woman who curates and analyzes videos on herbal remedies, holistic medicine, and supplements for healthy living. The majority of the content on the page is based on the author’s own assumptions, particularly the advice of Australian-based health care promoter Barbara O’Neil known for promoting controversial health practices and ideas.
A woman in the video described how combining half an ounce of extra virgin olive oil, half an ounce of lemon juice, and cayenne pepper and ingesting these mixtures every morning for five days before eating or drinking can help cure fatty liver disease, including cirrhosis, fibrosis, and liver damage. If left untreated, She further claims that people with terrible liver diseases have testified that their livers have become healthy within weeks of taking the mixture.
The woman claimed further that the mixture has shown to be a successful treatment as evidenced by the liver examinations conducted on those who took it before, during, and after ingesting it.
Since then, 2,100,000 people have watched the video, and it has received 54,900 likes, 55,000 shares, and 912 comments.
