The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt, through its Animal and Poultry Wealth Development Sector, has issued 468 operational licenses for livestock, poultry, feed production, and milk collection projects during the first half of February 2026.

The licenses include both new approvals and renewals for various activities across Egypt’s livestock and poultry sector.

The announcement follows a report submitted to Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouk by Tarek Suleiman, Head of the Animal and Poultry Wealth Development Sector, detailing sector activities for the first half of February.

Suleiman said the ministry eased licensing obstacles under the directives of Minister Farouk and Deputy Minister Mostafa El Sayyad, while ensuring strict adherence to biosecurity and safety standards.

The ministry aims to facilitate licensing for livestock and poultry projects, ensure proper registration of feed mixtures, improve performance rates, and encourage growth in exports.

During the period, the ministry approved disbursements of EGP 297.36 Million to 425 beneficiaries raising and fattening 4,251 heads of Cattle under the National Calf Project.

Additionally, 294 Feed Mixture registrations were approved, including 190 local and 104 imported products, in coordination with the Regional Center for Feed and Food and the Animal Production Research Institute.

Technical approvals were granted for 22 new Livestock and Poultry projects in desert hinterlands, following preventive and biosecurity standards.

The ministry also approved exports of Fish Feed, Feed Additives, Processed Poultry Products, and Frozen Poultry including Quail, Duck, Pigeon, and Turkey to several Arab and international Markets.

Licenses and project approvals are now accessible digitally through the ministry’s Egypt Digital Platform website and mobile applications, allowing faster, automated processing for applicants.
