Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, on Monday has revealed his plans to curb all criminal activities from waterways within the state.
The Governor who spoke through the newly appointed director-general of Cross River State Waterways, Mr Bobby Ekpeyong, reiterating the state government’s determination to rid the state of all criminal elements.
The state commissioner of police, Mr Sikiru Akande, promised to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those involved in all manners of criminality along the waterways are fished out and brought to book, leadership news reports
Akande who was represented by the state commander, Marine Police, SP Frank Mba, solicited the cooperation of all especially Cross Riverians living within the coastal regions and also admonished them not to be afraid to give useful information to the police.
