As part of its contribution to alleviating energy challenges in Africa, Bluetti, a renewable energy solutions provider, has donated 50 solar power kits to impoverished families in Ilaro, Ogun State.
This plan, known as the “Lighting an Africa Family” project, aims to address the continuous energy shortage in the community and improve access to clean and reliable energy.
This was contained in a statement made available on Tuesday by the firm’s Public Relations Manager, Taiwo Talabi who stated that the donation was made last Thursday.
According to Mr Talabi, the LAAF project is said to be part of the company’s corporate social responsibility actions, focusing on enhancing energy supply in underdeveloped and developing areas.
“Each donated solar power kit includes a battery pack, solar panel, and LED bulbs to keep each household powered up during electricity outages.
“In addition to the solar kits, Bluetti also provided T-shirts to every family and distributed notebooks and pens to all the children present during the event,” the statement read.
While demonstrating how the equipment should be used in order to get optimal satisfaction, the organisation’s country manager, Jefferey Zhang, expressed genuine concern for the community.
He emphasized Bluetti’s dedication to philanthropy through the LAAF project, aiming to enhanc the lives of African rural dwellers grappling with longstanding power supply issues.
He said: “Bluetti is firmly committed to philanthropy through the LAAF project to foster improved life for African rural dwellers particularly those who have had long issues of power supply.”
The Otun-Iyaloja of Ilaro markets, Mrs. Christianah Oduoye, who sought the organisation’s intervention, expressed gratitude for the donation and commended the positive impact the solar power kits would have on residents’ lives.
According to her, “The LAAF project is a beacon of hope, illuminating lives and symbolising a step towards sustainable development by bringing electricity to African households. It reaffirms Bluetti’s commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of millions,” she said.
