The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project, led by the World Bank Team and the Federal Project Monitoring team (FPMU) with the National Project Coordinator (NPC) Mr. Abdulhamid Umar, embarks on a week-long technical support mission to Niger State.
Honorable Commissioner for Agriculture, Niger State, Mr. Musa Bawa Bosso, representing the State Governor, welcomed the team on Thursday and affirmed the Governor’s commitment to restoring watershed communities and ensuring project sustainability.
NPC Abdulhamid Umar emphasized that the mission’s purpose is to ensure the effective impact of invested resources on households and communities within the State.
The technical team, comprising engineers, environmentalists, and climate change experts, aims to align the projects with their objectives and address any challenges.
Starting Friday, the team will conduct an inspection in Bosso and Pailoro Local Government Areas, engaging with communities to assess project impact.
ACReSAL Niger State Project Coordinator, Mr. Garbo Usman Ibeto, assured the team of safety and maximum cooperation for a successful technical support mission.
