The Earthshot Prize has unveiled a lineup of global star artistes who will participate in its 2025 Awards Night, set to take place on November 5 at the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The event will feature live performances by international artistes including Anitta, Gilberto Gil, Kylie Minogue, Seu Jorge, and Shawn Mendes, with Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey narrating the event’s trailer titled “Meet the World’s True Action Heroes.”

The ceremony will mark the grand finale of the Earthshot Prize Summit, a three-day programme dedicated to environmental innovation and global collaboration from November 3 to 5.

Five finalists from the 15 shortlisted innovators will each receive a £1 million award to advance their environmental solutions under categories including climate, nature restoration, and waste reduction.

Hosted by Brazilian broadcaster Luciano Huck, the event will also feature football legend Cafu, Olympic champion Rebeca Andrade, Formula 1 icon Sebastian Vettel, and Indigenous climate activist Txai Suruí as award presenters.

Performers such as Anitta and Gilberto Gil will celebrate Brazilian culture and sustainability through music, while international acts like Kylie Minogue and Shawn Mendes will highlight the global spirit of the event.

Environmental advocate Seu Jorge emphasized that the real heroes are those restoring forests and cleaning rivers, reminding the world that healing the Earth begins with small acts of courage.

The Awards Night will reach a record-breaking 34 million viewers across Brazil and the UK, broadcast by Globo and the BBC.

Jason Knauf, Chief Executive of The Earthshot Prize, said the event will unite world leaders, innovators, and young changemakers, making it the most impactful edition yet.

Supermodel and environmentalist Gisele Bündchen was also announced as the newest member of the Earthshot Prize Council, joining figures like Prince William and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in driving global climate action.
