A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Raheem Adedoyin has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRahman AbduRazaq for the appointment of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi as a Board member of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund).
In a letter of appreciation issued on Wednesday, a copy of which was obtained by NatureNews, Alhaji Adedoyin described Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi as a valuable asset to Nigeria.
He said Engr. Adeyemi, who is a committed Nigerian and an authentic Kwaran based in the United States, has a solid grassroots connection, especially in the Kwara South zone.
While expressing appreciation to the President and Kwara State Governor, the Oloriewe said Engr. Adeyemi’s appointment has brought smiles to the faces of Kwarans and elicited spontaneous celebration in the state.
He noted that Engr. Adeyemi brings to his new national assignment an exciting record of service as a Nigerian in Diaspora who distinctly connects with the Kwarans at home through his numerous philanthropic interventions.
Said he: “through his ENACT innovation hub, the youth in Kwara South are benefitting from JAMB and UTME preparatory training; and through the Igbomina Mobile Clinic, which he co-founded, he gave access to free medicare for many Kwarans in rural communities.
“For someone who has not held political office in Nigeria and has no access to the spoils of office, his generous disposition is a blessing to the political class and the underprivileged”, he said, adding that “his folksy ways easily endear him to the grassroot, especially in the state of harmony”.
Hon. Adedoyin, who described Engr. Adeyemi as a policy wonk, said his tested capacity will reflect in his new national assignment.
