Hajiya Jamila Muhammad Dahiru, a lecturer with Mass Communication department, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has been nominated as a Commissioner and member of the Bauchi State Executive Council.
Also nominated by Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, is Hajiya Amina Muhammad Katagum.
Both nominees are subject to the screening and confirmation by the State House of Assembly.

The Governor’s letter to the House, which was addressed to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, was presented during Thursday’s plenary by Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Tijjani Muhammad Aliyu.
A statement by Abdul Ahmad Burra, spokesperson to the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly on Thursday, said the House has resolved to screen the nominees on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
He said the Majority Leader moved a motion that the two nominees should appear before the Honourable House on Tuesday, 13th December, 2022 for screening.
According to the statement, the motion was seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo.”
