Zelestra, Meta expand clean energy partnership with 176MW texas solar deal

Zelestra has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Meta for the 176MWdc Skull Creek Solar Plant in Texas, further strengthening their clean energy partnership in the United States.
The companies said the agreement supports Meta’s objective of adding new generation capacity to the grid while ensuring its operations are matched with 100% clean energy.
With the latest deal, Zelestra and Meta now have PPAs covering approximately 1.2GWdc of solar capacity across seven projects in the US, all scheduled to come online by 2028.
According to the partners, construction began on two of the projects late last year, while the remaining projects are expected to start construction in 2026.
The announcement comes shortly after Zelestra reached full commercial operations at the 81MWdc Jasper County Solar Project in Indiana, the first project under the partnership to become operational.
Commenting on the development, Zelestra’s US Chief Executive, Phil North, said the collaboration with Meta was gaining pace nationwide.
“Our clean energy collaboration with Meta is gathering momentum across the U.S.
We are delighted to welcome full operations at Jasper County and the start of construction at two further major projects, while also closing another significant agreement that will enable the construction of Skull Creek in Texas,” North said.
He added that the partnership would soon deliver nearly 1.2GWdc of new clean solar power across the country.
Zelestra said it continues to expand its footprint in the US through multi-technology energy solutions and is currently developing around 15GW of renewable energy projects across key markets.
